Dear Parent,

The academic year gone by has been a satisfying and fruitful year at the hostel. I want to thank you for your continued support, encouragement and total cooperation. We believe when you, the parent collaborate with us, a lot can be achieved. We reiterate our commitment to make Stanes- a ‘Home away from Home’ for your child. We continue to work on systems to ensure all round growth and character development with emphasis on academics. Your child’s comfort, health, safety and over all development is important to us.

Yet another productive year has come to a close for your child and as they spend time at home we once again request you to consider the following:

 Encourage your child to read the English newspaper, magazines and appropriate novels.  Excessive TV and movie time, especially unmonitored and uncensored should not be allowed. English news, Discovery channel and other knowledge channels may be allowed in moderation.  Encourage your child to do his / her daily chores and be responsible for his / her own living space and belongings; as they do in school.  Help them to work on subjects that they are weak in.  Re-inforce the values taught at school with regard to respect and obedience to elders.  Encourage the hobbies or any new activity he / she wishes to learn or master.  Spend quality time with your child which is enjoyable to both of you.  Go through his / her clothes and mend them, label them. If required, replace unsuitable clothes.

The requirement list for the next year is enclosed as well as available on the school website. –

Boarders are requested to report on Sunday the 1st June 2014 between 2:00 pm and 7.00 pm.

In the best interest of your child / children / ward you are requested to avoid any money transactions or direct arrangements such as travel, overnight stay etc., without prior information to the Principal / Dean – Residential Life as they are responsible and answerable for all the residential students.

You will be glad to note that the hostel fees for the academic year 2014 – 2015 remains the same. However, during the year in case of any unavoidable circumstances there will be a nominal increase with due notice.

Students are requested to get their requirements from the school (sweater, socks, ties, track suits, shoes, games kit and hostel items) on the reporting day or on Monday, the 3rd June 2014 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm

Last year, the Excursion cum study trip to Delhi was successful and the memories cherished by all. This year we are planning for an international trip, hence we strongly suggest that you use this vacation to get a passport for your child which will be important to them. If you need any papers, please contact Mrs. Leema Vasan in the school office.

We wish you happy holidays with your child and look forward to seeing them next year.

May God bless you and your family abundantly.
